What is Job Ready IL?
Job Ready IL is a free online training program for Illinois residents. Through Job Ready IL, you can learn how to prepare for, find, and keep a job you love.
If you need help maintaining your SNAP or Medicaid benefits, Job Ready IL can support you in meeting your monthly work hours requirement. For more information, check out: How to maintain your SNAP benefits.
Who can use Job Ready IL?
Anyone can access Job Ready IL completely free of charge.
Job Ready IL is most useful to Illinois residents trying to maintain their SNAP or Medicaid benefits.
Why are there two versions of the Job Ready IL training program?
JobReadyIL.com is offered in two versions. These two versions are of equal quality, but use different formats. These two versions exist to test which one people (like you!) prefer.
You will notice that you are directed to one of these versions based on your zip code. This makes it easy for the Job Ready IL team to manage the number of people using either version.
If you accidentally clicked the wrong button and registered for the “wrong” version, that’s okay! You can continue to access this version once you’ve registered.
Who made Job Ready IL?
Job Ready IL is a collaborative project run by the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance, Origami Works Foundation, and The Innovation Nexus under supervision of the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development.
Training content within the Job Ready IL platform comes from a variety of partner organizations. These organizations are credited where applicable within the training content itself.
While JobReadyIL.com can be a helpful tool to meet your work hours requirement, SNAP eligibility is not determined by JobReadyIL.com. SNAP eligibility is determined by IDHS. Participation in JobReadyIL.com alone does not guarantee SNAP eligibility.
